Acrylic paint on canvas 8ft x 6ft, 1997
A bit of hope under the S Bahn in Berlin, circa 97
This was also the single cover for Levellers ‘Beautiful Day’, based on experiences around Kottbusser Tor U-Bahn in Berlin
Although most of Jeremy Cunningham's paintings are 'untitled' to enable the viewer to look at them without preconception; King of All Time appeared as the cover to the Levellers' biggest hit single 'What A Beautiful Day'. Which was itself renamed from its original title of 'King of All Time' due to record company pressure.
Jeremy is renowned for his Levellers album artwork but he is also a prolific artist in his own right. After years of gentle persuasion, we are very proud to be able to offer you these limited edition reproductions of a selection of his paintings either on canvas or framed or unframed prints.
Stretched canvas prints are on archival materials, stretched on 40mm deep wooden frames from sustainable forests, with a white edge. Professionally finished with neat corner folding, taped rear, and fixings for wall mounting.
